Criw Cymraeg is a pupil voice group here in Blaengarw Primary. We aim to encourage and promote the use of Welsh throughout the school, across the curriculum and in all areas of school life.
We meet once a week and are fully involved in planning new and exciting ways to develop and encourage fellow pupils and adults to speak Welsh as much as possible in our school.
This year we have taken on the role of giving out and delivering the phrase of the week to our respective classes. We help to plan and choose the phrase of the week. We also introduce the phrase of the week to the lunchtime staff and teach them the correct pronunciation. We display the phrase of the week for parents to learn with their children at home on our website.
We have plans to take assemblies, teach Welsh playground games and design caricatures to display phrases and commands around the school.
